Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach AUTO TECHNOLOGY at (956) 982-0363; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 57 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Brownsville and suggests consistent service.

Take your business elsewhere. My daughter was given an outrages $5000 quote for something that the car did not need. Took the car to a real BMW specialist and got it fixed for $300. When i called to ask about the quote owner was not man enough to take my calls.

Amazing service!!! Mr. Rudy and his team went above and beyond handling the damage and care of my vehicle. I was frequently updated on the status of their work and never left "up in the air". Their customer service, care, and work ethic was top notch. 👌 highly satisfied and definetly recommend!

This place is a MUST VISIT. I have now been here on 2 separate occasions for 2 minor issues. A sensor light and window control switch. Both times I was not only on my way within 10 minutes but I also was not charged for the amazing service. I would recommend coming here for vehicle needs!

Rudy was very knowledgeable. I took in my Audi q3 because my a/c compressor messed up. It’s very crucial to have cold air in this heat and he helped me without hesitation. 10/10 recommend this place for your car needs!

What an experience I had at this workshop which I was not expecting at all from a mechanic or car repair shop. I have a 2008 lexus rx400h with almost 349,500 miles and a hybrid vehicle . I drive for a living and this is my only vehicle so I needed my vehicle fixed. Nobody in the valley is comfortable working with hybrids unless I go to dealership, which I can't afford, specially on such an old car and almost 350,000 miles . Rudy showed up at my door with his computer to diagnose my vehicle . I have never had that happen ,he gave me comfort and I was able to trust him . Then he kept his word and called me promptly . He quoted me 1800 dollars and it ended up being 1500 dollars . World class customer service I should say , he dropped my vehicle and gave me the key and reports ran . I had to go to bank before I can pay him . He trusted me to pay him the next day ,unheard of .I have lived in the valley and I was not expecting this kind of service. Rudy you are not only a brilliant mechanic you are also a very good human . I would recommend him hands down without a doubt. THERE ARE STILL GOOD PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD 🌎 LEFT. thanks Rudy , I am your fan for life.
